So far our Synergy teams have had an impact on churches and communities throughout South and East Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through our partnership with local churches and projects we are able to help with their youth and children's ministries; with Bible camps and English classes for young adults and in their work with street children.
Our teams are structured so that you have opportunities to help in practical ways such as painting or building and also have the opportunity for evangelistic outreach such as open air campaigns. Previous teams have been involved in children’s work, youth work, teaching English in local schools, building projects, work in a local church, student ministry, working with the homeless and prison ministries.
Synergy teams have between 3 and 8 members and you can either join a team as an individual or even form a team from your church or CU.
Synergy teams 2010
Mbarara, Uganda: Sports Ministry & Discipleship 14th June – 17th July
Cost: £2200
ABIDE is a discipleship programme for guys who have completed school. The team members will form discipling relationships with individual Ugandan students as ministry partners. One of the main focuses of the ministry outreach will be Sports Evangelism in schools and local communities. This team is for guys only!
Madagascar: Children’s Clubs 16th July – 20th August
Cost: £2000
The team will run Holiday Bible Clubs in Antananarivo, Mahajanga, and Antsirabe in the mornings. During the afrternoons, there will be opportunities to do English Clubs with the children, using different activities to teach them English. Two evenings per week will be teaching English to adults in local centres.
Please note, all costs include CRB, health clearance, orientation, insurance, flights, visas, administration, food and accomodation, in-country travel and ministry expenses.
