I can't quite believe that tomorrow is THEE day! Kinda hectic at the minute with packing, getting insurance sorted and saying goodbyes ect ect. I would really appreciate your prayers espically over the next few days and weeks as I leave home for Madagascar.
Please pray that God will stay very near and that He will be glorified in every step I take. I fly from Belfast city tomorrow at 1525. I transfer at heathrow and in Mauritius. Pray that as I travel alone I will feel His presence oh so near. God willing I will arrive in Antananarivo, Madagascar at 1550 on Thursday afternoon. Malagasy time is 3hrs ahead of UK time.
I will be met at the airport by Gerla the AIM short term co-ordinator. I will stay with her on Thursday night. For the next four nights I will stay with a Malagasy family before moving into a volunteer house with other missionary volunteers. Please pray that God will undertake for me in each of those situations and that unity in Christ will far surpass any language barriers.
I will be working at the Anglican Music Institute (AMI) teaching music with the Korean missionaries there. Please pray that God would have a work there for me to do and that I will be a blessing.
Please pray for my family as I know they will miss me very much and are not at all looking forward to my departure. I know I will miss them terribly at times so again pray that God's grace will sustain.
Finally please pray that I will walk daily by my Saviour's side growing in love with HIm. I hope and pray that he will use me for His glory. I know Madagascar is where He wants me to be.
Please pray for me, please do. I cannot go this journey alone. I will keep you informed as much as I can.
God bless.
In His love,
Mandy Elizabeth.
