| MY MINISTRY |
|
At AMI I have two ministries, firstly to the twenty six adults I teach individually and secondly to thirty one children who come to the school on Wednesday afternoons for music and bible lessons. I work alongside three other Korean teachers who have made me feel extremely welcome and they look after me very well…

Charlie at the piano rarely a day passes when I do not eat some sort of Korean food which they have made although I can never tuck in without a silent prayer for my stomach! My passion at AMI is for the adult students that I work alongside. Because I am younger than them, I feel they see me less as a teacher and more as a friend and this makes it easier to talk about Jesus with them. They are very appreciative that we are here to teach them and are full of thanks. We share many warm hand shakes, hugs, laughter, dances (yes, dances) and one lady even baked me a cake to say thank-you. It is my prayer that through my relationships with them they would feel the warmth and attractiveness of Jesus and desire that in their lives. NEED OF JESUS“Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” Romans 10:1
Whether I’m walking along dusty tracks or along a hectic road and I greet the Malagasy people, as I look into their faces, I am constantly reminded that they are of eternal worth. Christ desires that they too may have life and have it to the full. Yet, “how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in whom they have never heard?” (Romans 10:14) The physical needs of the Malagasy people are great, but their spiritual needs are even greater. Thank you for your prayers and support which have enabled me to come and live amongst some of these people. I have been extremely aware of God with me in the past six weeks and thus far can testify with the writer of Lamentations that “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. Please, please continue to pray.
