My time in Uganda, although short was a very impacting experience for me. Even when we were situated in Kampala God confronted me in the area of thankfulness, to walk around the main streets, seeing the number of precious people in agony with varying physical problems was overwhelming, and i noted that if they where in the UK they would not be in pain, as we have free access to health care.
God made being thankful real to me. Later when we arrived in Tororo it quickly became apparent to me that God wished me to be there, and i had no doubts in my heart about God's future plan for my life. He also challenged me in the area of giving, as i had an old Widow come up to me and give me her two oranges that she had just bought, this challenged me deeply as i considered how the widow give her two mites as an offering in the Temple (Mark 12:42). During our time travelling around the local schools, it became apparent to me that God had a similar plan for me in the future, as a result of this, God has opened many doors for me, since i am now training to become a teacher. I believe That God has provided this and that he will be using this skill in Africa in the years to come.
The whole experience was enjoyable from entertaining to evangelising to mountain climbing, the whole thing was enjoyable, a challenge and most of all in God's loving plan
