Mark Byles Team Leader Mark Loosemore Neil Donaldson Lauren Allen Julie Batten Alison Bootes Jess Morrison The Ssese Islands are an archipelago of eighty-four islands in the northwest of Lake Victoria, Uganda. About forty-three of the islands are inhabited. The team ministered to the children and others living on the Ssese Islands. The purpose of the team was to support and encourage pastors in reaching out with the gospel to their church families and communities. The team was involved in running children's Bible camps and was responsible for organising games, helping to set up events and organising the children under Pastor James’ leadership. The team were also involved in maintaining and improving the site between camps. The team also spent some time learning the local language to equip them in ministering to the children, before travelling to the Islands . Mark Byles writes while out in Africa. So we're back from the Sesse Islands. The team will be returning to the UK on Sunday. We've just had a fantastic 2 weeks ministering on the islands. We ran and helped with a variety of children’s clubs on 4 different camps while being based on a different site called Gabriel’s Landing. It has been fantastic working alongside Pastor James Kasuja in these different places. The kids were amazing and very open to Gods word. Please pray that seeds planted would be watered and God would make them grow! Discipleship on these islands is a HUGE prayer point as many of the churches are weak and Animalistic religions are so strong on the islands. Thank you so much for all your prayers so far! God Bless Mark
