Gail and James Hanna Kampala is the capital city of Uganda and also the largest city. Dwelling Places is a Christian non-governmental, charitable organisation that provides rehabilitation, education, family reconciliation, fostering and adoption facilitation to ex-street children, abandoned babies, and high-risk slum families. The vision of Dwelling Places is that all children in Uganda are raised in God honouring family settings that are able to afford a basic standard of living. This is done through ministries such as street and slum outreach; health outreach and a club for the children of the community. The team will be involved in the different ministries of Dwelling Places, wherever their gifts and skills can be used. ![]() One of the team members said
My time in Dwelling Places was both challenging and fantastic. It was challenging personally for me in my own faith, learning to trust and totally depend on God for his strength and guidance when I felt inadequate. It was amazing and humbling to hear stories of how God was working in the lives of both old and young people. Even through much hardship they were still praising and thanking God for his goodness to them. It was also great for me to spend time helping out in the clinic even though it was something I didn’t expect to do, but I thank God how he was able to equip me and helped me, to be used by God! And through it he gave me the opportunity to show God’s love in a practical way. |
