Just a brief update from me: So, just over a week ago, me, kathryn, anita and thea headed north to the warmth of Logologo leaving the others in Kijabe.

We stayed for a week in Logologo with Eva, a German missionary doctor. We spent time in the dispensary there but also travelled to Marsabit to see the district hospital there, and went on a mobile clinic to Kamboe. Although we had these different clinical experiences we spent alot of time learning about the culture and chatting with those who lived there. We got such a valuable insight into culture and medical mission throughtout our week. We learnt so much through chatting with Eva of some of the difficulties that medical missionaries face, with the local community, with the church, and even with other missionaries. There are so many difficult issues and no obvious solutions. These issues are something that have to be tackled so it was great to be able to spend lots of team time discussing these issues. We have all realised how important it is to learn about the culture to be able to help with their healthcare and with their spiritual lives, and we have so much still to learn. Thank God for all we have learnt so far and may we continue to learn so much more! I have to mention how amazing my birthday was, I turned nineteen last week, while sleeping under the stars in the middle of the desert! For those who have never seen an African night sky, it is truly something to behold! As we looked up at all those stars we all thought, what an awesome God we have! It has been so nice to be reunited with our other half and enjoy some time relaxing over the last 2days and seeing some giraffes and a lion, among other things! Very exciting!! I will stop waffling now and leave others to update you on some more things we have encountered!

Jenni

Hi Jenni, great to get regular news. Besides those on email several folk at church asking after you and you and the team are regularly prayed for. Look forward to hearing more and seeing some photos - doesn't have to be close-ups of the lion! Love Dad.XXX
