bibleclub1.jpgTeams: summer teams, church teams and university teams
Gap year placements: whether you are a school leaver, university student, wanting to take a career break or have retired early.

Our teams and gap year placements are open for those aged 18+ You can join our Synergy programme to take up a specific tailor-made ministry or as a member of one of our Synergy teams.

AIM International is an evangelical Christian mission agency. Synergy allows you to partner with local churches and Christian organisations throughout Africa. This gives you the opportunity to enhance their existing ministries and develop your own. AIM International’s focus is ‘Christ Centred Churches Among All African Peoples’, reaching them with the Good News of Jesus Christ. You can find out more information here.

We are looking for individuals who are prepared to grow spiritually, be cultural learners and intentionally communicate Christ.
How is this achieved? Through:

Meeting ministry needs

children1.jpgWe have many specific ministry needs at present throughout Africa that you could fill. Further details of these can be found on our Gap Year page and Synergy Team page. If you have a particular skill or gifting that you would like to use in Africa, let us know.

Discipleship/mentoring

We need people who are skilled in a particular area, but, above all, we are looking for those who have a heart for evangelism and in making disciples. This is a crucial part of any of our ministry placements. In turn we want to provide you with an insight into cross-cultural ministry, growth in understanding of mission and hands-on ministry opportunities.

Language learning and training in cultural sensitivity

The Apostle Paul’s principle was to adapt, where possible, to the cultures of those he aimed to reach.

Why?

To become effective in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 9: 20-23). If we learn about the culture and the language, as well as adapting our lifestyles, it goes a long way in ‘earning us the right’ to share our faith.
